Beaver Library

A mathematical model for the dynamics of a harvested population of beaver (Castor canadensis) was developed based on the natural history and biochronology of the species. This discrete-time, deterministic model breaks the annual cycle of a beaver population into six periods and tracks the transitions between periods for forty sex/age classes.
